An Exclusive American Towman Webinar
A Chain Is Only As Strong..
As It's Weakest Link !
Here is What You'll Learn
How Changing the Type of Hitch You Use Changes the WLL
“A chain is only as strong as its weakest link” We have all heard this saying before but
are you practicing this philosophy in your daily work? It’s imperative when we are
placing loads on our chains that we ensure that each load bearing component making
up the chain assembly has a Working Load Limit (WLL) that exceeds the load placed on
the equipment. Working load limits, the size and grade of the chain as well as any
connecting links, repair links and the type of hitch applied has an effect on the WLL of
the chain. In this webinar we will discuss grades of chain, different types of connecting
and repair links, chain inspection and how the type of hitch you use changes the
working load limit.
